UK pub history and historical Street directory

The pub history sites are regularly updated by Stephen Harris and kevan, plus an 'open' group of like-minded individuals on a daily basis; and anyone is welcome to contribute. We are not a society, but a random group of people with similar interests in mapping the usage of old buildings, public houses, taverns, hotels and Inns through time. Why not join us, there is no cost in getting involved, and any contribution to pub history is welcome.

The following entries are in this format:

Year/Publican or other Resident/Relationship to Head and or Occupation/Age/Where Born/Source.

I have found that my 2nd great grandfather, Samuel Stockdale was a publican in the 1870s 80s and 90s, as beer retailer, and beer house keeper. The 1871 records show him at the British Volunteer (Victoria Dock Road), then at Greengate street (1881 census) and also at the Park Tavern (Tottenham), maybe in 1874. *
