Lord Clyde, 1 New Grove road, north side in the 1861 census; at 34 New Grove road by the 1871 census; then Upper Grove road in 1874. The address is 124 Estcourt road by 1896 but has been renumbered by this time. The 1881 census entry is at 69 & 70 Estcourt road, which I believe is correct.
Demolished in the 1960s for housing, although maybe later as it is listed in the 1971 telephone directory.
The Lord Clyde was demolished c1970 during the building of the Clem Attlee estate, named after the former Labour Prime Minister.
It was replaced by a new pub, on the same site, called the Clem Attlee opened in April 1971 by Attlee's son, Earl Attlee. The new address was 99 Rylston Road.
Later renamed, The Pump House, then The Clem Atlee again, then Paya and Horse. Demolished c2009 and replaced by a block of flats.
