I have a John William Still, born 1882 in Camberwell; on the 1901 census he is living at Danby Street, Camberwell and is a 'brewer's clerk'. When he gets married in 1904 he is now a 'publican' and he is at Courthill Road, Lewisham, i.e. the Queens Arms. His father, John (b.1861 Hastings, is now living in the Camberwell area), and is also noted as a 'publican' on the marriage certificate. On the 1911 census they have left the pub trade and moved to Bromley. ***
