Westminster St Margaret pub history index
Variously called the Pakenham Arms, Pakenham Hotel or Pakenham Tavern. It stood on the corner of Raphael Street and Knightsbridge Green, and was originally a country house. It was enlarged and converted into a Hotel and Tavern at a cost of over £3000 by the builder Edward Nangle, who became its first licensee in 1847. It was demolished in the 1950s to build Caltex House, but a replacement pub, Tattersall’s, was included in the development. *
