Daniel died on 11th August 1904 – his probate record shows him at the Prince of Wales then. I’ve been working on Daniel HALLETT for weeks – he was a ‘Habitual Criminal’ who’d spent most of 1869 to 1885 in prison for horse and cattle stealing. Served his sentences at Pentonville, Brixton, Portsmouth & Dartmoor. Must have been a lively landlord! *
His widow, Sarah, remarried. In 1905 she married Thomas Neighbour *
