Please send me a picture of your pub, and its pub history? I am currently adding accurate transcriptions of the UK 1921 census to the UK pub history site. Or visit your local library.

Edward Bowen was my great grandfather, born in Welshpool in 1841, and his son Edward Leonce Bowen was born in the pub on 8th March 1878 but sadly the infant died a few months later. The inquest was held in the nearby George on 29th June 1878, reported in the Bucks Herald on Saturday 6th July. By the time of the 1881 census my great grandfather had left the trade and moved to East London. *
