Marmaduke Dent is listed as the last licence in 1935, however, his son Leonard Cyril Marmaduke Dent took the licence after he left the London Fire Brigade at the end of WW2. In those days the pub was owned by Simmons Brewery of Reading. My wifes father left the pub during 1961 to take the licence of The Black Lion in the near village of Naphill. After leaving the Coach and Horses 2/3 people took it until it was demolished to make way for Wycombes by-pass. *
