A warm welcome is on the menu at The Bell in Walthamstow as locals can once again enjoy great British pub hospitality following its refurbishment. The much-loved pub on Forest Road has had a £418,000 refurbishment to combine the best of British pub traditions with today’s top quality customer experience.
General Manager of The Bell, Dave Morrish, his son Joseph and his English bulldog, Bonnie are leading the welcoming party with many recognisable faces behind the bar to serve customers. Dave has worked in the pub industry for years and is delighted to show off the new-look, friendly pub to regulars and new customers, also welcoming your four-legged friends.
Speaking this week, Dave said: “This is an exciting new chapter for this brilliant pub which is so loved by so many here in Walthamstow. The Bell has had a great past as one of East London’s best pubs and now it has a great future ahead too. It is good to be here and meet so many locals. The Bell has been part of the community for years and that will continue. It has a great presence on the street and with these big windows it’s light, airy and welcoming. The warmth and character of The Bell is still here, just as it has always been. We have refreshed the décor and furniture and it’s a brilliant place for everyone to come in and meet up. It’s not just about the quality food and drinks we have, it’s about being the social hub of the area. Pubs are the original and best meeting place for communities and The Bell is a classic example of this. We are here for everyone, all day, every day. I’m very proud of this great pub. Bookings for the function room, which is available for local clubs, businesses and groups, are growing and there are plenty of events and offers to look forward to in the run up to Christmas, such as Halloween. New booth seating has been installed with built in screens, perfect for any sports fans looking to catch the next big match, and just in time for the World Cup.

Customers can explore the extended food and drinks menus with a focus on craft beers and artisan gins and spirits, traditional and contemporary cocktails, which are two for one all day every day and great choice of pub food favourites, delicious burgers and pizzas. The pub is also open for breakfast every day from 9am, serving a range of classic breakfast dishes.
