The Horse and Groom in Charlton, being on the corner of Charlton Lane, and
on the main Greenwich to Woolwich Road. I have attached a picture of as it
was in 1956 and it was certainly that way in 1970.
Arthur and Frances Watts were the licensees over that period and when they
retired the brewery (Courage & Barclay) took it over and it became a managed
house. ***
