Morning Advertiser 26/03/1867: Newington Magistrates Licensing – Palmerston Arms, Lordship Lane, Dulwich – Mr Lilley for Mr Ezekiel James Bailey said that the house was in an entirely new neighbourhood and had cost £2,500 to build. Licence granted. *

Ezekiel James Bailey was a pub owner and house builder - he was previously at the George Canning in Grove Lane Camberwell - I suspect he is the landlord at the LP in 1871 but the census show him at the George Canning. *
