I have come across another relative who married into a licensed Victuallers’ family. Richard William Partridge who married Kate Francis Messenger in 1896, their daughter Elsie was born the following year and gave this address. He was later at the Bricklayers Arms, Southwark.  Kate's father Richard Messenger was the owner of the Charterhouse Hotel, 54 Goswell Road, Holborn circa 1881. ***
