Joseph Hollyman is born in 1845, and a barman here in the 1871 census, learning his trade. He later goes on to run the Nevill's Cross, 40 Denmark Road, [he is probably at the Gun Tavern, 125 Lupus Street, Pimlico in 1884]; then in 1891 a licensed victualler at 344 Goldhawk Road, Hammersmith. The latter is likely to be a private address.
He is a son of Richard Hollyman, also a victualler at the Dolphin, 16 Long Alley, Shoreditch.
