The Lord Vernons Arms, Southampton street in the 1850 license transfer. Known as the Vernon Arms in the 1880s and broadly situated at the junction of Pentonville Road and Calshot Street, west side. Trading by the mid-1950s but since demolished. *** The address is at 180 Pentonville Road in 1911 and earlier, and at Pleasant Row, New Road in the 1788 Sun Fire Office insurance record. It is also listed as 41 Southampton Street, and this is the primary address in earlier directories. *
