The following entries are in this format:
Year/Publican or other Resident/Relationship to Head and or Occupation/Age/Where Born/Source.
The White Lion public-house, at the south-east corner of the
street of that name, was, originally, an inn much frequented by persons
connected with the trade of Smithfield, and comprised the two dwelling-houses
adjoining, and also extended northwards in the opposite direction, until an
opening was made between White Lion-street and High-street. The sign, which is a
lion rampant, painted white, is in its original position, and bears the date
1714, which was the time when the house was built. The Gentleman's Magazine for
August 1823 gives an engraving of several ancient houses between White
Lion-street and the Liverpool-road, including the Three Hats public-house: the
representation of which is more especially curious, as the house has been
recently re-built. - St Mary Islington History 1842

What I am now attempting to achieve is the coverage of an earlier London
street directory in 1832. This is unique, plus
images of the 1842 Robsons directory which confirm earlier entries and also
carry much more trade detail about a premises or person. Here is the index of streets in 1832, many with
1842 imagery added.
And next is the complete 1840 London street directory - this will take some months to complete, so bear with me!
