The owner of the Chippendale Arms, 204 Millfields Road, Hackney, E5 from c.1947 to at least 1965 was Peter Curtis. Peter Curtis was the owner for all the time I can remember. We used to go in there frequently to buy soft drinks and vinegar so we knew Peter quite well. My dad also used to rent a lock up garage from him which was at the rear of the off licence. *
