    The 1855 license transfer refers to the Duke of York, De Beauvoir Town. Early address is at 11 Downham road in 1856 directory , or 11 Downham Cottages in 1861 census. Closed 2010 and as of early 2011 is being converted to residential use. ** Reopened in 2012 as Duke's Brew and Que beneath a residential conversion. *+
