Closed around the mid/late-1950s, this pub had been a car showroom before being resurrected as a pub by Wetherspoon's in October, 2002. This pub's address is now122-124 King Street. * The Plough and Harrow. The name dates back to1419. The pub was rebuilt in1903 on a much grander scale and in 1960 in closed and became a car showroom. In 2002 it was demolished but due to local protest the old facade was kept and installed on the replacement building
