At 5 Chapel Street, Bedford Row in 1856 and earlier. Chapel Street is later renamed to Rugby Street by 1938. In 1921, at the junction with Emerald court, as it is in 1938; although no longer a pub.

I found in the 1911 Census that Herbert William Case had moved to 55 Perry Hill Rise, Forest Hill, Lewisham with his extended family to work as a Beer House Keeper. His fourth child was born in Bloomsbury in 1904 and his 5th child was born in Forest Gate East in 1908. *
