Kensington High Street circa 1893, on the right is the pub, now called The Town Hall Tavern and halfway down the left side of the street, with the pediment and flagpole is the building from which it took its name, Kensington Town Hall opened in 1880.

 Kensington High Street in 1929. the pub has now been absorbed into the department store Derry & Toms. It was demolished in 1930 along with its neighbours when the store was rebuilt. on the extreme right can be seen the entrance to Kensington High Street Station, opened 1868.
