In the 1861, 1862, and 1863 London Electoral Registers Joseph was listed as a Beer Seller living at 9 Richard Street, St Anne, Limehouse. Richard Street was in Limehouse Fields, just South East of St. Dunstan's, in 1872 renamed to Cayley Street, and now the "White Horse Open Space". ***
There is a reference to him as being "... a beer-shop keeper in Richard-street..." in The Standard (October 17th, 1862) (I couldn't find reference to this beer shop on your website) ***

This is evidenced by the 1891 Census that lists James Jeapes as a 72 year old man running a beer house at 43 Duckett Street. ***
