I'm doing some research into the bombing of the Black Swan (148 Bow road) by a Zeppelin on the night of 23/24 September 1916. *
The landlord on that awful night, Edwin John Reynolds, was, according to the earlier 1911 Census, landlord of the Ivy House. Brunswick Street, Poplar. He was living there with his wife, two daughters, three sons and a housemaid! All the children were apparently born in Wallington.
