This pub was present by 1799 and until 1815 at least was called the Three Jolly Butchers. ** Known as the Three Jolly Butchers in 1841 and earlier, before being renamed as the New Tariff. It returned to the name Jolly Butchers around 1869. The address is 44 Old Street Road in 1869 earlier (also sometimes given as 42 Old Street Road and 43 Old Street Road), prior to street renaming. *
