Three Kingdoms, 79 Lower Thames St, St Dunstan in East, City of London

St Dunstan in the East pub history index

Between 1851 and 1855 this pub was trading as the Custom House Stores. There is a mix of similarly named Custom House's in Lower Thames Street until these are unravelled properly. The pub closed in around 1961 and the licence was transferred to the newly-built Mermaid at 64 Queen Victoria Street, EC4. The Mermaid has now been renamed the Sea Horse. Meanwhile the old Three Kingdoms is now demolished. **

A listing of historical London public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in  St Dunstan in East parish, City of London. The St Dunstan in East, City of London Public House Trade Directory uses information from census, Trade Directories and History to add licensees, bar staff, Lodgers and Visitors.

What I am now attempting to achieve is the coverage of an earlier London street directory in 1832. This is unique, plus images of the 1842 Robsons directory which confirm earlier entries and also carry much more trade detail about a premises or person. Here is the index of streets in 1832, many with 1842 imagery added.
And next is the complete 1940 London street directory - this will take some months to complete, so bear with me!
