St George Hanover Square pub history index
The 1882 directory places the Union at or near the junction with Ranelagh grove, which is at Queen Street, Pimlico in the 1869 directory. I am therefore linking this to the Union at 21 Queen street, Pimlico in 1869 and earlier. This pub was rebuilt in its present form in 1891 and renamed the Ebury Arms in 1978 ** Known as The Ebury by 2011 but is now a restaurant/bar called No. 11 Pimlico Road. *

What I am now attempting to achieve is the coverage of an earlier London
street directory in 1832. This is unique, plus
images of the 1842 Robsons directory which confirm earlier entries and also
carry much more trade detail about a premises or person. Here is the index of streets in 1832, many with
1842 imagery added.
And next is the complete 1940 London street directory - this will take some months to complete, so bear with me!
