Westminster St Margaret pub history

Westminster St Margaret pub history index

This pub was present by 1726. In the early 19th Century it stood at No 82 York Street, on the west corner of Gardenerís Lane (these streets were renamed Petty France and Palmer Street by 1922). It was rebuilt in its present form in 1881, incorporating No 81 next door, and either or both numbers were subsequently used as the address, settling on 81 some time after 1911. *

What I am now attempting to achieve is the coverage of an earlier London street directory in 1832. This is unique, plus images of the 1842 Robsons directory which confirm earlier entries and also carry much more trade detail about a premises or person. Here is the index of streets in 1832, many with 1842 imagery added.
And next is the complete 1940 London street directory - this will take some months to complete, so bear with me!
