Phoenix, 14 Palace Street, Victoria, London, SW1E 5JA

Westminster St Margaret index

This house is on the south side of Palace Street. Up to 1881, the western end of today’s Palace Street was called Charlotte Street, and the Phoenix was just to the east of that boundary, at 1 Palace Street. In the 1880s, Charlotte Street became part of Palace Street, and the whole was re-numbered with evens on the south side, making the pub 14 Palace Street, which it remains today. *
