The pub is adjacent to the now defunct Parchmore Terrace, which housed tenements for the "labouring classes" in the last quarter of the 1800s. My great great grandfather John Andrews, lived there. He was a bricklayer, and I wouln't mind betting he had a pint or two there ! *
