Wadhurst is a large parish and village, on the road from Tunbridge Wells to
Hastings, with a station about 1 1/4 miles distant, on the Tonbridge and
Hastings line of the South Eastern and Chatham railway, 40 miles from
London, 14 north-west from Battle, 20 north-west from Hasstings, and 6
south-east from Tunbridge Wells.
