Notes: William Gardner was the innkeeper here from at least 1911 until his death in 1932 .
After he died his wife Miriam (nee Rimmel) took over as the publican; known as Minnie she was born in 1860 in Shipston on Stour.
There are a couple of photos of The Fisherman’s Rest , one showing Minnie, in ‘The way we were 20th century Bidford A Journey along Bidford High Street between 1905 and 1960.’

There’s also a modern photo of “the site of the Boot Inn” which is obviously the place later known as the Fisherman’s Rest
